Future Planning Continued

After our amazing honeymoon planning we needed to find a place where we wanted to live. I think this was one of the toughest things to do. We couldn't ever agree on where we wanted to look or what price to look at so one night we decided to take a drive. We drove all over the place and for hours and we couldn't find anywhere we wanted to live. But as we were driving down Harrison Blvd. we found a nice apartment complex off to the right of the road right next to weber state that had a rent sign out. So we decided to get the phone number and give them a call. We still weren't sure if we wanted to live up that way or not but decided to give it a try anyway. We went and took a look at it and it was a nice place, it was very small but nice, and it was a reasonable price. We finally came to an agreement to take it! It was so fun moving into our own place and finally having space to ourselves. We liked it alot until the day we moved in!! On the day we moved in we noticed the water wasn't turned on so we had to call our landlord and have him turn it on. Then when it got dark we found out our electricity wasn't turned on either. So we had to call back and have him turn that on too. I'm not sure why he didn't do that at the same time. Finally when all of that was turned on I decided I needed to relax and take a nice hot bath but as I turned on the water we noticed that the gas wasn't turned on either!!! Come to find out the gas company isn't open over the weekend, unless it is an emergency, so we had to go through the whole weekend heating up our water on the stove to take a bath! Talk about stressful! We finally got everything working and ready to go and loved it! We were so greatful that we had a place to stay and a wonderful time having a place of our own. See it's very small but we still loved it!!

Future Planning

Holy cow 2009 was crazy hectic for planning! We had a quite a few different things going on. First things first the wedding planning. How I got through it I do not know! It seemed like every two minutes my mom was asking me if I had anymore addresses to add or have I filled all the envelops? Have I got my dress? Have I got my flower arrangements? Do I have the place where I want it? It seemed like it kept going on and on and on and never ending! But finally we agreed and finished up the plans just in time for the wedding. I loved my wedding so much even down to the very last minute. It was so pretty I wouldn't have changed a thing!! I don't have pictures to put up right now they are on discs so I will have to take the time to download them and put some on here! I do have a couple pictures of the planning!!

Here is one of my amazing bridal showers! We had a game where everyone got into teams and made me a wedding vale out of toilet paper. I was super impressed!

Kelse and Shannon were on a team!

Camie and Morgan were on a team!

Mom and Grandma were on a team!

Here is the finishing touch!!

My amazing wedding dress!!

On the Way down!!

Now comes the planning of the Honeymoon! This was the best part of the wedding planning! Both me and Kevin wanted to go to California so I could see the beach because I hadn't ever seen it before. So we decided to make a road trip out of it!! The first night we drove to Salt Lake and stayed at the Anniversary Inn on South Temple. That was really cool to see. We stayed in the Phantom of the Oprah room and it was so cool! Then we headed to California! On the way down we decided to stay a few nights in Vegas at the Stratosphere.

The Stratosphere

Hanging out on the top of the Stratosphere

We watched the water show at the Belagio
The next day we decided to walk the strip since I had never been there and I wanted to see all of the fun stuff.
The different Hotels (this was only one of them)

We took a ride on the Mono Rail and Kevin picked the Monster one (go figure)

These guys would stand here and people would give them money just because!

Yes this guy is real!!
After Vegas it was on to California. We took a lot of pictures but I'm only going to post a few just to give you a glimpse of our fun time.
This is the hotel we stayed in. It was in the middle of Asian town!!! But it was a super nice hotel.

The first day we were there we went to Disneyland

Here are a couple of fun rides we went on!

The next day we decided to hit the Ferry and go to Catalina Island and hang out there for a while. When we got there we wanted to rent a bike or a golf cart but everything was closed at 2:00 because there was a graduation going on. We were pretty bummed so we got some ice cream and went to the beach to catch some fun water crabs.
Here is the fun Ferryheaded away from California Coast

We took some cards and decided to play some games on the way down.

Here is the fun Catalina Island. It was so cool walking around and going to all of the shops!

Here is our fun memorabilia that we brought home with us!

2009

My camera died after I took one picture :(
2009 was the best year I have ever had! On January 31st Kevin wanted to take me out for a fancy dinner date. He said he would be there to pick me up at 4:00pm (which really means 4:30 in Kevin time) and to dress warm. So at around 4:45 he was at my house with his brothers awesome truck and extra jackets in the back. I was so excited I couldn't stand it! When we arrived at PF Changs in Salt Lake City we had a nice dinner at a table for 2 and talked for about 2 hours about nothing and everything. Then he took me to one of the most amazing places in Salt Lake City, the Galavan Center, where we went ice skating outside under the stars. It was just me and him for about an hour before a big group of people came and crowded up the place. That was when we decided to leave. We took a fun little walk around the Galavan Center and talked some more. As we were walking we found this cute, romantic spot in a group of trees that had lights all around them and had a bench and a cute little pathway going through it. We stopped here and as we were looking around he pulled out a piece of paper that had definitions on it of different words such as, love, friendship, eternity and a whole bunch more. He gave it to me to read and as I was reading it he pulled out another piece of paper that had the most amazing poem on it. It was a poem that he had wrote. I will have to take a picture of it and copy it down because I don't remember every word on that poem. I do remember the end though it states "I hope you will call me your husband if I can call you my wife." As he said those last words he got down on one knee and pulled out the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen! I was so excited I didn't know how to react. I don't think I even said yes I just grabbed the ring out of the box and put it on. So I guess that means yes!! We stayed in that little cove for quite sometime talking some more and planning our future. I was the happiest girl in the whole world! As we headed home I called and text everyone I could think of. I can still remember that night is if it was yesterday. I love Kevin with all my heart and am the luckiest girl alive.
